On My Belly, On My Back is a publication collecting work created by students and tutors at the XXVI CSAV Artists’ Research Laboratory in Italy.

The laboratory is an experimental platform designed to provoke formal and informal discussions and exchanges among artists of different generations and nationalities, run collaboratively in 2022 by John Knight.

The book plays with the title, running it across the front and back covers, and flipping the two parts on the spine. Text is set in HAL Grotesk, a typeface formed from an international amalgamation of sans serif styles, nodding to the global input of the students.
